WHAT ARE PAINT SYSTEM DEFECTS?
Paint defects are graded on a scale of 1-4.
Grade 1 includes overspray, industrial fallout, and general contamination. Grade 1A includes very light scratches, swirls, light water spots, and marring. Grade 1B includes moderate scratches, deep swirls, bird poop etchings, and acid rain. Defects in these classes are considered to be "cosmetic" and can generally be repaired depending on the thickness and hardness of the clear coat. Grades 2 and 3 are not repairable and require repainting. Grade 4 is damage to the metal, fiberglass, or composite and can require replacing the panel.

PAINT THICKNESS EVALUATION
Ultrasound paint gauges measure how much primer, base coat, and clear coat there is on the surface. If there is not enough material to proceed with paint correction I will tell you.

THE ADVANTAGES OF WET SANDING
Aggressive polishing compounds can produce dangerous levels of surface heat potentially "burning" the paint system. Wet sanding produces zero heat, removes all cosmetic defects quickly, and leaves a flat surface ready for polishing. Aggressive and multi-stage wet sanding is used to remove excessive paint texture ("orange peel").
PROPER POLISHING PRODUCES MAGIC FINISHES
Polishing is what makes the difference between an "okay" appearance and something really nice. This is more of an art than a mechanical process, requiring many years of practice, patience, knowledge of paint systems, and the best materials. The more stages of refinement polishing, the better the final result. And no one in the region does it better than I do.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
"Mark is a rare individual who takes great pride in his work! His skill and vast knowledge took my already beautiful brand new Toyota Supra and pushed the beauty of the paint far beyond my expectations of what it could ever possibly look like. With his paint correction and coating, the vehicle truly looks like belongs in a showroom! 😍 Mark’s service doesn’t stop there...he gave us care instructions and details on products to maintain that look and protection level for years to come. We watched paint transformations on his Facebook page and were already impressed before we contacted Mark. He is passionate about what he does, and that comes through in the end result that he achieves. He was also great at communicating with my husband and I to update us on the process and answer all of our questions. Based on his work and our experience, Mark will be our go to guy for paint correction and coatings. I highly recommend him!"
